MPN Vice-President, Thomas Brooks, Interviewed on WCLK 91.9 FM in Atlanta

[April 4, 2002] - Thomas Brooks, Vice-President, Minority Professional Network (MPN), recently made an appearance on the live broadcast of Atlanta's WCLK 91.9 FM.  Brooks is shown above conversing with WCLK's Carleen Brown during a segment on April 4, 2002.  Brown conducted an extensive on air interview of Brooks to discuss the national launch of the MPN website, its target markets, and its content revolving around careers, economic development and lifestyle information for progressive minority professionals. 

After only four months online, MPN has attracted 13,000+ e-Newsletter subscribers as of March 2002, representing nearly 75% of the U.S. states and multiple international countries, and attracts tens of thousands of unique visitors per month Serving 100,000+ Asians, Hispanics, African-Americans, women and other minorities, nationally, the site enjoyed over 900,000 hits in March 2002.

Brooks also discussed "Community Partnerships and Economic Development in the Minority Community."  MPN and the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) co-sponsored a play that week by the New Jomandi Theatre.  Brooks discussed the importance of partnerships with groups like WCLK and NBMBAA, and the importance of African-American theatre and culture.
