Whether it's in a private house or garden, a village field or at a famous and awe-inspiring landmark, planning the perfect party and finding the ideal venue takes a lot of work. But it seems that the UK's events industry and private party schedule is really hotting up as we roll into the Summer of 2011.

Just as the Chelsea Flower Show opens its gates for another year, venue hire business is bigger and better than before (and London's party planners are getting more creative too).

"rhubarb" are certainly busy catering for parties booked in party venues all over the country. With a bumper June and July on the cards, and a very busy May just wrapped up, "rhubarb's" chefs have been busy creating fabulous summery food offerings - with breathtaking food stalls and sushi bars, stunning cocktail bars and delicious canapé receptions for hundreds of glamorous guests.

In Central London, venue hire is busy too. Some of "rhubarb's" favourite London venues such as The Natural History Museum, The Victoria & Albert Museum, Banqueting House, Guildhall, Two Temple, The National Gallery and Chelsea Hospital, have calendars literally full to bursting with fabulous corporate events and private parties over the next few months.

And of course Summer is the prime time for weddings too. Picture the scene – a beautiful marriage ceremony at the Chelsea Town Hall, before a relaxed wander down the Kings Road to a "rhubarb" wedding reception at our Saatchi Gallery restaurant Gallery Mess. With access to the stunning terrace and right on the Kings Road itself, it is one of the most gorgeous Chelsea wedding venues for hire. What more perfect summer wedding day is there?!

Another perfect Summer party venue of course is the Royal Albert Hall – now a "rhubarb" venue too – imagine cool evening receptions in Café Consort, or summer lunches in the bright and breezy Elgar Room – and it goes without saying all The Hall's event spaces are perfectly placed venues for event entertainment too.

Finally, "rhubarb" on the river – our party venue on board the Silver Fleet of luxury vessels – is also busy and buzzy.
