December, 16, 2008…Atlanta, GA…Long neglected as the powerful, influential and significant part of the nation’s multicultural mosaic that it is, the disability community is beginning to come to the forefront of national awareness like never before, and author and journalist Norma Stanley, wants to tell the world all about it.

So much so, that she's created an online talk radio show to share key information about the community from every aspect of life. Hosted by Stanley, a disability advocate, multicultural marketing consultant specializing in the disability community and freelance writer, “Exceptional People, Exceptional Lifestyles,” is a live call-in interactive talk show,
that primarily shares news and features about the fascinating people who comprise the disability community, as well as the people, products, programs and services that support it.

“As the mother of a special needs daughter who wants to see her exceed and excel in all areas of life, I wanted to know more about people with mental and/or physical challenges who were doing just that—excelling,” said Stanley, who is also the author of “The Elected Lady—Finding Victory in the Challenge,” an inspirational book for and about mothers of special needs children.

The “Exceptional People, Exceptional Lifestyles” radio talk show, has been airing weekly since early October on BlogTalkRadio, the leading online social radio network heard all around the world. The show not only shares information pertinent to those in the disability community, but also features other extraordinary people from various communities, sharing their own unique stories.

“Our guests represent those from local and national business, religious, civic, education, political, sports, health and wellness, entertainment and arts and culture arenas and recreation arenas, sharing news that not only benefits and interests the 56 million-strong disability community, but also those wanting to learn and understand more about the many challenges and victories found within the community,” said Stanley. “Topics and guests on shows already aired, include managing autism and other disabilities with healthy diets, the importance of respite assistance, corporate products and support of disability-focused organizations, how our government can positively impact disability community, profiles on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" winner, comedian, Josh Blue who grew up with cerebral palsy, and repeat Gold-winning paralympian, Curtis Lovejoy."

Stanley says guests coming on the show in 2009 will cover issues such as the challenges of keeping love relationships strong while raising children with disabilities what agendas will President-Elect Obama’s administration put into effect for disability community, as well as profile locally and nationally renowned entrepreneurs, entertainers, athletes and others with amazing gifts and talents.
