Author / Content Text	Studies show that 75% of the adult population has a strong desire to be self sufficient, but only a small number actually make the transition from employee to entrepreneur.There are many reasons behind these sad statistics. For some it has to do with comfort levels and fear of the unknown. Others look for a business they can "fall in love with" and rule out anything that doesn't fit this narrow criteria. However, most people are just confused by all the options available and simply do not know wher to start, so they give up. The key to overcoming fear, discomfort and information overload is to become educated about your posibilities and obtain support to explore all of your options. This support comes in the form of a business coach. The role of a business coach is to dispel the unrealistic fears and misconceptions about self employment and provide a systematic approach to exploring business ownership. Coaches serve as a safety net to allow clients to explore options and act on their dreams. To help their clients let go of the past so they can explore their future. According to statistics the average worker will change careers four times during his / her worklife. Many frustrated workers are looking for something different but go about wanting change by doing the same thing they've always done [comfort zone]. If you want to make a change you must add something new to the equation. In addition, corporate mergers, downsizing and cost cutting has eliminated over 270,000 jobs in Ohio alone since 2000 creating even more people interested in self sufficiency. We're faced with an ever changing job market where security just does not exist. I've gone from dependency to self sufficience and it's changed my life. My own experience allows me to help others to make the same transition if they are committed to change. My focus is on the client and their needs with no exclusive ties to any company.
