The writers have taken their urban zeal of ballads and positioned them with biblical truths. Appearing on 97.5 Power of Praise with radio personality, Anthony Valary and 1360's Women Wednesday, Leticia Jackson, the two sisters of color are spreading the word of how women of color can be delivered from abuse, prostitution, drugs by way of the holy spirit. Of course the poetry is not traditional, as its lyrical sentiments hit home hard for women who have experienced tough times in their "hoods." "The hood can be more than just location for that is only geography, a hood can be any degredated situation a woman finds herself dealing with." says co-author Nickey Byrd.
