ARTE MECCO. The Sun's Daughters

This period’s emphasis has also been placed on painting the sun, still an Indian Ocean inspiration. Painting the sun conventionally in the terms define by the ARTE MECCO process. Decorated rays of the sun are flowering upon the landscape in the Hyglyx of constellated ray-like petals: The Sunspots. I have also incorporated sunspots, created with the cactus apple dye, which flows among the papers. The incorporation of the water patterning hieroglyphics is present in this painting.

What has seem to become a trademark for ARTE MECCO is the using of the torso which appears to become outlines of hills and/or mountain landscapes. The brown torsos patterned with the Hyglyx gives the feel of a cultivated surface dew, representing morning in a modernize way.
Interpreting this landscape one can see and feel the present of the sun upon the land. This morning rising of the sun tends to awaken all forms of life, be it fauna or flora. Colors are approaching their height. The effect of the silver metallic upon this painting gives the feel of morning dew.

The Sun’s daughters adorned with the Hyglyx of spiral sun-like coronas “ Soleil Halo”, awaits their daily energizing from their celestial parent. The bronze of their torsos, ornamented by the Hyglyx is traditional with ARTE MECCO. This sun-like corona Hyglyx I call “ Soleil Halo” adorn the heads of all three daughters, though only 2 are visual. The other daughter appears to be approach towards the sun. The jewel-like dewdrops that adorn the torsos of the daughters shimmer towards the tentacle reaches of the sun’s rays.
