Department of State Hosts Career Networking Event in Kansas City, MO
Federal agency on mission to find U.S. citizens who are
diverse, culturally aware, adaptable,
and innovative-thinking problem-solvers, dedicated to public service, to work at
U.S. Embassies, Consulates and Missions abroad.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 15, 2012)
– The U.S. Department of State will host a
Careers in Foreign
Affairs Networking Event on Thursday, November 8, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the
Hilton-President, Congress Ballroom, 12th Floor, 1329 Baltimore
Avenue, Kansas City. The event will
feature a panel of senior Foreign Service Officers, otherwise known as U.S.
diplomats, and other U.S. Department of State employees who will share their
experiences and discuss the variety of key career opportunities currently
available in locations throughout the world.
Learn how U.S. diplomats and those with specialized skills contribute to
America’s overall national safety and security. With their language skills,
backgrounds in business, management, economics, healthcare, technology or
engineering, Foreign Service Officers and Specialists are committed to
protecting America’s interests, from border protection and security to economic
growth and development. The U.S. Department of State offers viable career
options to those who have an interest in public service.
The November 8 event will take place from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the
Hilton-President, Congress Ballroom, 12th Floor, 1329 Baltimore
