Overseas Career
Opportunities. Explore Foreign Service Officer opportunities along one of five U.S. State Department
career tracks: Management Affairs,
Consular Affairs, Economic Affairs, Political Affairs, or Public Diplomacy.
Or, consider a
career as a Foreign Service Specialist in any one of 19 different
areas such as Information Technology, Facilities Management, Financial
Management, or Human Resources.

Representatives of the U.S. State Department,
including Ambassadors, Diplomats and other senior-level members, will be visiting
Raleigh, North Carolina in an effort to recruit more African-Americans, Latinos and other
people of color into the Foreign Service to help promote U.S. diplomacy abroad.
All interested persons are invited to attend.
The Raleigh event will be the ninth held in
this series since the U.S. DoS and MPN partnered to initiate this national effort to ensure that the U.S.
Department of State looks more like the face of America.
Previous events have been held in Houston, Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Diego, San Antonio, Miami, Atlanta
and Chicago. Future events will likely be held in other highly diverse major U.S. metro areas.
