This position is located in the Legal Policy 3 Group, which analyzes regulatory recommendations to the Commission, primarily from the Division of Corporation Finance and the Office of the Chief Accountant. But the Senior Special Counsel for Crypto will work closely with OGC leadership and coordinate crypto projects across OGC and other divisions and offices. Apply knowledge of federal securities laws to matters involving crypto assets. Maintain expert-level industry knowledge of crypto assets, including legal and policy developments in domestic and foreign jurisdictions, with a particular focus on crypto assets and related products that are securities. Brief OGC and agency senior leadership on developments in the law and provide expert advice on issues concerning assets, including legislative developments. Provide legal advice on agency rulemakings and other activities, including enforcement, as they pertain to crypto assets. Represent OGC in meetings with internal stakeholders concerning crypto assets. Coordinate and lead projects by engaging with staff in OGC and other Divisions and Offices.
