At 10am, join the Shaw Historic Bike tour leaving from Shaw Junior High School, 925 Rhode Island Avenue, NW. This ride is limited to the first 40 riders.
At 11am, join us for fun for all ages at the Shaw Bike Festival at Shaw Skate Park, 11th St. & Rhode Island Ave., NW, nearest the Shaw/Howard U Metrorail stop on the Green Line. Activities include: helmet give-away, fittings and safety checks, obstacle course and “slowest person” race, a free raffle, face painting and crafts, a mobile bicycle museum, bicycle registration by the DC MPD, workshops on neighborhood sustainability by EcoDesign Corps Interns, food and fun
