Finally, the story is told. The most ambitious exhibition ever assembled on slavery in New York is currently running at the New-York Historical Society until March 5, 2006. Slavery in New York, a multimedia exhibition, reveals a history of which many are unaware, illuminates the contributions of enslaved people and explores the role slavery played in the making of New York and the United States. Museum hours are Tuesday-Sunday 10am-6pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors, educators and FREE for members and children under age 12.
