The conference will begin with a "Welcome to Alaska" reception, which includes a Native drum and dance performance. The plenary session is entitled "Climate Change Implications for Habitats, Wildlife Populations, and Subsistence." Workshops will concentrate on topics such as urban wildlife management, sampling design, and population survey techniques. Twenty-one symposia and twenty-four contributed paper and poster sessions are scheduled as well. The conference will provide many opportunities for students to participate in events to enhance their conference experience
