The Harris County Hospital District’s Acres Home Health Center is hosting a free community health fair. The health fair is open to the public and offer residents one-stop convenience for health screenings and immunizations. Hospital district staff will provide screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, vision, hearing, sickle cell, lead, and pregnancy, along with many others. Participants are also invited to bring their current prescription and over-the-counter medications for review and consultation with a pharmacist. Health care professionals and vendors will be on hand to discuss exercise, heart health, stroke prevention, women’s health, and nutrition. Information will be given on exercise, weight-loss plans, smoking cessation, breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, and more
